  • Sealy. History. Heritage. And an undying dedication to helping the world sleep better.

Sealy Middle East Licensee of Sealy Inc. USA is proud to present the number one mattress in the world in the Middle East Region.

Lie on any Sealy mattress and you channel a century and a quarter of mattress ingenuity. A journey that began in 1881 in the town of Sealy, Texas, when Daniel Haynes, cotton gin builder, filled a request for a cotton-filled mattress. And then another. And then another. His business grew exponentially, which led to more innovations and several patents. Among them, a machine that compressed cotton.

Fifteen years later, Haynes sold his patents to a Texas Company that retained the Sealy handle. Soon after, ad exec Earl Edwards penned the slogan "Sleeping on a Sealy is like sleeping on a cloud." And with that, Sealy mattresses were a national phenomenon. By 1920, Sealy had 23 licensed plants in many regions.

Even in the face of the Great Depression, they managed to not only stay afloat, but to introduce a new product–the Button-Free Innerspring.

The innovations didn't end there. Sealy continued their quest for the world to sleep better for decades to come. Milestones include the introduction of the Sealy Posturepedic mattress. Being the first mattress company to display and advertise a king-sized bed. Creating an Orthopedic Advisory Board. Reinventing the innerspring coil and the box spring. Patenting a variety of groundbreaking technologies, including Posture Channels and Pressure Relief Inlays designed to relieve pressure points that cause tossing and turning. And the list continues to grow to this day. In late 1983, Sealy purchased the Stearns & Foster Company. True to the Sealy heritage, these mattresses redefined luxury and expressed a dedication to craftsmanship and intricate detail. Making it a perfect and sound addition to the Sealy family of beds.

Most recently, Embody by Sealy mattresses were unveiled. These breakthrough mattresses brought a new ideal to the mattress surface: health. With progressive latex and memory foams, Embody by Sealy mattresses brought healthier sleep surfaces and even healthier room environments to consumers. Another shining example of Sealy innovation at work.

Today the company owns and operates 25 bedding plants in the U.S. Three are dedicated to innerspring and foundation component parts and one is dedicated to producing its very own latex–another first in the mattress industry.

For three decades, Sealy has been number one in market share and unwavering in its vision to help the world sleep better. And through its design, manufacturing and leadership, Sealy is poised to continue its legacy for years to come.

  • Our Vision

We have a very simple mission: to help the world sleep better. And it's so much more than just a hollow philosophy or something we hang on the walls. This mission literally drives everything we do. It's for this reason that we spend more on research and development than any other mattress brand in the world.

The process of designing better mattresses starts from the inside out. With people like you who have a very simple need: to get a better night's sleep. We conduct extensive research, including interviews in people's homes to get at the heart of what will help them sleep better. Though most people don't spend their days thinking about mattresses, almost everyone has a suggestion or two. And the best suggestions can often be found within our beds.

Be leaders in the science of sleep.

When it comes to Sealy Posturepedic mattresses, we've gone a step further by forming the Orthopedic Advisory Board (OAB) – a group of the finest doctors, clinicians and orthopedic surgeons who play a critical role in the design process. The doctors apply the extensive expertise they've gained while helping their patients sleep better to the design of Sealy Posturepedic mattresses to help the rest of the world sleep better.

The OAB and Sealy have also worked hand in hand to create the Pressure Mapping Lap Center of Excellence, a first-of-its-kind facility where all Sealy Posturepedic mattresses are scientifically tested to ensure that they provide maximum comfort by eliminating the uncomfortable pressure points that cause tossing and turning. Sealy Posturepedic is the only mattress brand in the industry that has strict pressure-relieving standards for every one of its mattresses.

Be the #1 luxury mattress manufacturer.

Our commitment to helping the world sleep better extends to our Stearns & Foster line of luxury mattresses. Known as the original luxury mattress brand, Stearns & Foster mattresses are made by specially certified craftsmen who build every mattress with extraordinary attention to detail using the finest materials in the world. Each craftsman personally signs a craftsman card that's included with every mattress - demonstrating their own personal commitment to helping the world sleep better.

Be quality–minded at all price levels.

This mission extends to our budget line of mattresses, known simply as Sealy Brand. Though these are budget-priced mattresses, we believe that even a budget-priced mattress can have quality features and materials to ensure durability. They're also put through the most rigorous quality and durability testing in the industry, ensuring that Sealy Brand mattresses will allow budget-focused consumers to sleep better.

    Be health-minded.

And last but not least, there's our newest line of mattresses called Embody by Sealy. Made from progressive memory foam and latex foam, Embody delivers healthy sleep surfaces while also creating healthy room environments.

    Be everywhere consumers sleep.

Our family of mattress brands can be found in homes like yours, hotels and luxury resorts worldwide, and even the White House.

But most of all, we're proud that consumers have recognized our commitment to helping the world sleep better by making Sealy and its brands the most popular in the world.

  • We want the world to sleep better. Not to mention a better world to sleep in.

Call it being green. Call it a distinct love for the planet. Either way, we're proud to manufacture quality mattresses while pursuing practices that reduce our impact on the environment. Read a little more about how Sealy's helping the planet.

As the world's largest bedding manufacturer, Sealy Corporation recognizes the importance of environmental sustainability and takes seriously our corporate responsibility for good stewardship in this effort. We provide high-quality, durable sleep sets that provide our customers with the highest levels of comfort and wellness.

Our goal is to reach an acceptable balance between sustainability and product quality, performance and durability, based upon the practical application of the most advanced technologies available. We are currently embarking on a two-fold approach to reduce our environmental footprint:
To ensure that our current operations, and the operations of our suppliers, are as environmentally friendly as possible. To search for economically feasible ways to improve the sustainability of our products.

Here are the steps that Sealy has taken to improve the environmental sustainability of our products:

    BROWN *
Sealy's lumber resource is certified to SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative) and CSA (Canadian Standard Association) standards. This lumber company:

Supplied 66% of its fuel needs through "green" fuel sources (biomass, e.g., bark and sawdust, as well as landfill gas) in 2008.

Self-generates 46% of its energy needs (fuel and electricity) using renewable sources (co-generation from biomass and hydroelectricity). Reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 31% in intensity (per ton) and 52% total since 2000.

*Relevant Sealy product: box spring (frame)

    STEEL *

100% of the steel products in Sealy sleep sets come from recycled steel.

Because of our patented design, Sealy innerspring units can be compressed instead of baled, so that more innerspring units fit into a truckload. Fewer truckloads provide greater fuel efficiency and reduced emissions.

*Relevant Sealy products: mattress (innerspring), box spring (modules, center rails, grid tops, nails and staples)

    FOAMS *

Sealy's foam supplier recycles 100% of its polyurethane scrap for use in the production of other consumer products (e.g., carpet, padding).

*Relevant Sealy product: mattress (comfort layers)

    LEAN MANUFACTURING *

    Scrap Reduction:
Sealy has reduced its scrap by 69% from approximately 1.8 lbs per piece produced in June 2004 to approximately .43 lbs per piece produced in December 2009.

In 2009, Sealy reduced its recycled scrap 3.3% from 2008 and 33% since 2004 (lbs per unit sold).

    Recycling:
100% of manufacturing scrap from all Sealy's plants is taken by a third-party company to be recycled for other products. Scrap includes textiles, foams and plastics.

Both wood and metal pallets are sent back to Sealy's plants for re-use.

    Logistics:
Sealy uses a route optimization software system that streamlines delivery and minimizes the fuel use of its truck fleet.

Sealy has consolidated transportation in North America where appropriate.

Sealy has selected suppliers based on their proximity to Sealy plants.

Subsequently, Sealy has reduced its carbon dioxide emissions by 23% since 2007.

    Non-Essential Materials Reduction:
Sealy has minimized the use of secondary materials that are not critical to bed manufacturing and has developed environmentally preferable options (e.g., reduced corrugated packaging).

    FIRE-RETARDANT MATERIALS

Sealy chose to use only environmentally friendly fire-retardant materials to meet the new U.S. Code of Federal Standards, Title 16, Part 1633, Standard for the Flammability (Open Flame) on Mattress Sets. By design, Sealy's fire retardant materials have inherent re-retardant properties. As a result, no chemicals, including halogens or harsh metals, are used in Sealy's fire-retardant materials.

    SECONDARY BEDDING

Sealy has created an entire division to channel excess production to secondary bedding markets. This minimizes the amount of products and materials going to landfills, and includes: Sleep sets produced from excess raw materials
    Production overruns
    Off-specification sleep sets
    Prototypes and experimental sleep sets

  • Sealy never rests when looking for better sleep.

While Sealy strives to help the world sleep better, they also want the world to live better. Which is why they find various ways to support and make a difference to the community. Not only financially, but with an exceptional amount of time and energy. Sealy employees are dedicated to making a difference, in these charities and an evolving list of others.

United Way: Over a million dollars have been raised by Sealy over the past ten years to support the local United Way organization. Employees generously donate more than anticipated each year. Over 10% of the corporate-based workforce donates to the United Way at the Leadership Giving level. American Red Cross: $1 million donation of cash and products to support Katrina Hurricane Relief Efforts, and Sealy employees raised an additional $72,300 in cash donations for the American Red Cross. Several years ago, 10 truckloads of mattresses were sent to eastern North Carolina following Hurricane Floyd.

Salvation Army: For more than eight years, Sealy has sponsored a series of holiday concerts in the North Carolina Triad area to raise canned food donations for the Salvation Army. Sealy also ask its employees and local industries to participate in a canned food collection challenge. In 2009, Sealy employees donated 300,000 cans of food and bottled water. In total, the Holiday Concert Challenge collected 670,435 cans of food for the Salvation Army.

Victory Junction Gang: A camp devoted to enriching the lives of children with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses, Sealy has outfitted all of the cabins with Sealy mattresses and employees volunteer their time at the camp.

Monthly Charitable Contributions: Each month employees select a charitable organization to support. So far this year, employees have raised money for the American Cancer Society, American Red Cross, Hospice of the Piedmont and the YMCA.

Local Endeavors: YMCA Archdale/Trinity Building Fund, University of High Point Building Fund, Trinity High School Scholarship, High Point Arts Council, Archdale Public Library.

Additionally, Sealy employees volunteer their time to organizations such as Junior Achievement, YMCA, YWCA, Boys & Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity, Operation Smile and more.

  • Comfort

    Exterior fabric and quilting
This is the closest material between you and your mattress, so you want it to be comfortable. Whether it's for that spare bedroom or for your bedroom where kids are jumping on the mattress, these quality fabrics are resilient, durable and above all, comfortable. Because at Sealy, these aren't mutually exclusive.

    We have:
Woven quilt top. An entry-level material on the top of the mattress for basic comfort.
Stretch knit top. A softer feel that breathes more, for a cooler, more comfortable feel.
Stretch knit top over a layer of silk and wool fiber. The softest sleep surface option for the most comfort and breathability.

    Memory Foam
Memory foam is a material that conforms to your unique body. Adding memory foam layers gives you the feeling that the mattress was made just for you.

    Support
    Innersprings
Innersprings are the key ingredient to supporting your body on a mattress. Ever experience the awful feeling of a sagging mattress? Sealy is the only company that uses a twice-tempered coil to prevent sagging of the mattress over time. Twice-tempering ensures that the innerspring will provide lasting support, extending the life of your Sealy Brand mattress.

    We have:
SealyTech Innerspring. The Sealy entry-level innerspring and a mainstay in providing the most affordable support.
Patented PostureTech™ Innerspring. For a step up in support, this innovative spring by Sealy senses your individual body weight and responds with the very best support in the industry – at a budget price.
    Durability

    Edge System
The edge system of your mattress offers you a firm place to sit, keeps your mattress stable and allows you to sleep on the edge without the mattress sinking beneath you. Sealy engineers its edge systems for optimal stability.

    We have:
Advant-Edge® System. Inserted between the outer two rows of innersprings, this is the Sealy basic edge system offering stability not seen in most entry-level mattress edge systems.
Advant-Edge® PLUS System. Want to be sure you're comfortable on every inch of your mattress top? Sealy takes the stability of the Advant- Edge® and adds this premium edge system around the perimeter of the mattress so you can sleep more comfortably all the way to the edge.

    Box Spring
Included in the price, this box spring system absorbs impact (like a child jumping on the bed) to help ensure that you enjoy your Sealy for years to come. Just because it's affordable doesn't mean it shouldn't last.

  • Caring for your Sealy.
Your Sealy mattress is designed to last a long, long time. That said, there are things you can do to keep it looking and feeling great. Keeping it clean, for starters. It's highly recommended that you use a mattress pad, which can be found at www.sealybedding.com. And while spills happen, try and keep it free of water or other liquids.

Give it time to "air" after removing it from the plastic packaging. That new mattress smell will dissipate quickly. Use a proper frame with center support. For king and queen size mattresses, this ensures your warranty will remain in effect. Don't flip the mattress. A Sealy mattress has comfort layers on one side. It should, however, be rotated on occasion to minimize body impressions in the upholstery layers.

    Cleaning your Sealy.
If you're the obsessively-clean type and want to go further than a mattress pad, vacuuming is the only other recommended way to keep your Sealy mattress in pristine condition. For stains, use mild soap with cold water and apply lightly. Soaking the mattress or foundation, using dry-cleaning fluid of any type isn't a good idea. They can damage the comfort and upholstery materials. And we don't want that, do we?

In short, show your Sealy a little love and it will return the favor.

  • That mattress you were just looking at? It comes with a warranty of up to 10 years. It'll look and feel the same way for a long time. Sealy has the most rigorous testing standards in the industry. They also have durable, quality materials. And more than 130 years of yearning for perfection. See your local retailer and refer to the warranty card attached to the mattress for more details.

  • Traditional Innerspring
    Starting at $399* (queen set)
The familiar feeling of the classic spring mattress. Tried and true, comfortable and supportive, it's all the pure joy of a Sealy, made most affordable.

Made with Sealy comfort and support in mind. Made even more affordable.
For the budget-minded shopper and consummate sleeper, we offer the Sealy Innerspring mattress. None of the frills, yet all of the confidence of having a Sealy.

Every Sealy mattress is extensively tested using the most rigorous standards in the industry. Over 30 tests are conducted to ensure the support and durability we've been perfecting for over 125 years.

  • Latex Foam
    Starting at $1999* (queen set)
Embody by Sealy progressive latex foams seem familiar, yet like nothing you've ever felt. Allowing you to sleep "on" the mattress and not "in" the mattress.

Be of sound mind and body.
    Be a healthy sleeper.
Embody latex foam mattresses feel as good as they are good for you. Embody latex feels more familiar than memory foam, yet different from anything you've ever felt. It uniquely contours to your body while giving you one-of-a-kind pushback support, allowing you to feel like you're sleeping "on" the mattress as opposed to the "in" the mattress feeling of memory foam. Embody delivers a healthy sleep surface under you and a healthy sleep environment around you. Healthy-minded souls, your latex foam mattress has arrived.
  • While Embody memory foam mattresses are designed with progressive new foams, they also adhere to a set of beliefs. Beliefs that led not only to a healthy sleep surface, but also a healthy room environment.

Like us, mattresses need to breathe.

Embody memory foam uses a proprietary design to allow air to flow through the foam. This design allows for endlessly more breathability and cooler, more comfortable rest not found in other foam mattresses.

    Moving air is good air.

To build a healthy rest environment, Embody memory foam mattresses feature Body Climate fabrics by Polartec®. These performance fabrics move air in, out and around the mattress all night, regulating the temperature. Combined with the design of the foam, the mattress surface is up to five times more breathable than other leading memory foam mattresses.

    Sleep dry, sleep healthy.

Embody also features special fabrics by Polartec® that wick away moisture. Keeping the surface dry. And, in turn, healthy.

    Cleaner air is better air.

Fresh air is about the only thing anyone wants to breathe in their bedroom. That's why Embody memory foams are free of CFCs and other ozone-depleting chemicals.

There's no room for allergens in your room.

Embody memory foam uses a proprietary design to allow air to flow through the foam. This design allows for endlessly more breathability and cooler, more comfortable rest not found in other foam mattresses.

The simple joy of pure foam.

How can I tell if I need a new mattress?

When was the last time you thought about your mattress? Many of us forget that our mattresses are the most utilized piece of furniture we own. In fact, if you sleep eight hours a night, in one year you'll rack up 3000 hours on your mattress. After ten years, you'll have logged 30,000 hours on the same bed. Listed below are a few hints that indicate it's time to start thinking about renewing your sleep surface.
    1. You bought your current mattress over eight years ago.
The average life span of a quality mattress is eight to ten years. Mattresses older than that suffer from deteriorating comfort features and diminished support capabilities.
    2. You wake up feeling more tired than when you went to sleep.
Most consumers wait too long to replace their mattresses. If you don't wake up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated—or if you feel any pain or discomfort—you've definitely waited too long.
    3. The couch feels more comfortable than your bed.
Concentrate on the feel of your mattress. Do you feel coils or bumps? Your body needs a smooth, comfortable sleep surface to get a regenerative night's sleep. Your mattress should enable you to sleep through the night with minimal tossing and turning.
    4. Your mattress looks worn and uneven.
Inspect your mattress regularly for sags and imprints. If your mattress appears uneven or worn and frayed, maybe it's time to start shopping. The upholstery layers in all mattresses compress over time. For optimal performance, be sure to rotate your mattress occasionally to extend its durability and renew its comfort. If you "inherited" your mattress from a family member or friend, chances are you need to replace it now.
    5. You've taken your mattress for granted.
Mattresses are the most used yet most ignored piece of furniture in the house. Pay attention to your mattress. Do you hear creaks and groans? Do you notice the surface sags or indents in certain areas and not in others? The condition of your mattress may come as a surprise, once you take a close look.

How much should I spend on a new sleep set?
Mattress prices range greatly, from about $299 to over $5000 for a queen set. A good night's sleep is one of the best investments you can make, so buy the best mattress you can afford. Keep in mind that most of us spend as much as one-third of our time in bed. Your investment will cost just pennies per night over the next ten years! In fact, a $1000 Sealy Posturepedic® sleep set costs about 27 cents per night (based on a ten-year life).

Should I replace my box spring when purchasing a new mattress?
Yes! A good box spring is as important as a good mattress! It acts much like a large shock absorber, taking a lot of the nightly wear and tear, and it contributes to your comfort and support. Don't put a new mattress on an inappropriate box spring. When you select the mattress, purchase its companion box spring. The two are designed to work best together.

How long should my sleep set last?
The Better Sleep Council advises consumers to buy the highest-quality bedding they can afford, then replace old bedding every eight to ten years. After this many years, even the best bedding may no longer provide the comfort and support you deserve.

How do I shop for a mattress?
Focus on finding a sleep set that satisfies your comfort preference first, then your quality preference. To do so, always shop wearing comfortable clothes and shoes that can easily be removed for lying down. Take your time and don't be shy. You can't judge support and comfort by sitting on an edge or lying down for just a few seconds. Lie on the bed the way that you sleep, and if you sleep with a partner, try shopping with them so you can decide together. Shop at a store that you know and trust, and that offers services you desire. Read as much information about the sleep set as is available. Remember, buy the best bed that you can afford. You can always find "bargain bedding," but it's no bargain if you can't get a good night's sleep!

Is it true that your local "factory to you" stores sell the same sleep system found in Sealy Posturepedic?
No, it's not true. Sealy's Posturepedic Innerspring system is a patented design developed and produced by Sealy and only offered in Sealy products. Posturepedic components, which meet the highest-quality standards in the industry, are not offered in products promoted by "factory to you" stores. Don't be fooled by "factory to you" stores, selling products that are "just like a Sealy." There is no substitute for a Sealy Posturepedic sleep set.

I compare my old sleep set to sleep sets available today?
No, the design and manufacturing of bedding has changed dramatically—even over the last few years! Innerspring technology has improved, new "comfort" upholstery materials have been developed, and comfort choices have been expanded to give consumers a greater selection! Today's box springs are more durable, with steel spines and "working" torsion modules that are built into all Sealy Posturepedic box springs.

How do I compare today's sleep sets?
The best way to really know what you're buying is to experience a top-quality pillowtop, then firm, then plush sleep set. Determine the comfort you prefer, then compare your comfort preference in three qualities—top-of-the-line, mid-range and lower range, and understand the differences. This comparison helps you make an informed decision. If you like the comfort and price, the store services, and possible financing options, you can make your purchase at the first store. If you decide to shop another store, find out what you've seen. Know the type of sleep set and its significant features, such as the type of innerspring unit, key comfort layers, type of edge support and significant features of the box spring.

What type of mattress should I buy for my child?
Your child should sleep on a Sealy Posturepedic because it offers correct back support. Children's bodies aren't just always moving, they're always changing, and through all of those changes, their growing backs need support. Don't skimp when buying a new sleep set for your child. With a Sealy Posturepedic, your children will get the comfort they want with the support their developing bodies need.

What should I do with my old mattress?
Most bedding retail stores will assist with the disposal of old bedding as a value-added store service. Ask about this type of service before you purchase!

Can my children use my old mattress?
Children should have a comfortable, supportive mattress to get the deep restorative sleep their bodies need to grow. If your old sleep set was uncomfortable and lacked support, then it probably won't help your kids get a good night's sleep either.

Does a mattress need to be hard in order to be good for me?
No! Sealy Posturepedic sleep sets offer correct support regardless of comfort level or price. Whether your Sealy Posturepedic is soft or hard, it will give you the same correct back support you need.

Why are there so many different quilting designs?
The quilting design on a Sealy mattress cover helps determine the firmness or plushness of the sleep surface. If a quilting design is small and close, the bed will tend to feel firmer; if the design is large and spread out, the bed will usually feel more plush. Remember, when you purchase a Sealy Posturepedic sleep set, you get the correct support you need, regardless of comfort level or price.

Should I be concerned about bedding height?
For consumers who don't want the extra height that comes with today's bedding, Sealy offers a "low profile box spring," cutting the height of the box spring by up to 4.5 inches! A low-rise bed frame can also reduce the overall height of your mattress surface. In addition, most stores also offer "low-profile frames", which also reduce overall height.

What are the dimensions of traditional bedding?
These are standard finished product sizes. Actual size may vary by model, generally within a range of ± ½ inch to 1 inch. King: 76" x 80"
    Queen: 60" x 80"
    Full: 53" x 75"
    Twin: 38" x 75"
Crib: 28" x 52" (Visit www.kolcraft.com for more info on Sealy crib mattresses.)

I am interested in a queen- or king-size bed, but the access to my bedroom is limited. How can I get a large bed through tight quarters?
King-size foundations and split queen box springs come in two pieces for easier access through narrow halls. Also, the new UniCased Sealy Posturepedic mattresses can be bent up to 15° without damaging the innerspring.

Why are some of today's beds so thick? My sheets don't fit!
Today's mattresses are manufactured with much more upholstery padding and comfort layers than in days gone by! Many consumers prefer the plush and ultra-plush comfort that these thick mattresses provide. You can find deep-pocketed sheets in most retail stores today, or look for Sealy sheets with the exclusive border that can fit any mattress up to 21 inches deep.

Traditional-size mattresses are not big enough for me. Does Sealy make non-traditional?
Yes! Sealy realizes people come in all different sizes. Contact your local retailer for the following non-traditional mattress sizes: California King 72" x 84"
    Full X-Long 53" x 80"
    Twin X-Long 38" x 80"
These are standard finished product sizes. Actual size may vary by model, generally within a range of ± ½ inch.

What kind of support/frame is necessary for bedding today?
Use a sturdy bed frame! If your mattress is a queen or king set, make sure that your frame has the extra center support needed to prevent bowing and sagging. This is required to ensure complete warranty protection for your sleep set. Sealy's recommendation for frame usage is illustrated below. Shown below are examples of proper bed frames for queen- and king-size bedding.

How do I carry or move my mattress?
Two people should normally carry your Sealy mattress flat on its side. It's easier to handle and less likely to get damaged. Don't bend your mattress under any circumstances.* Bending may damage the innerspring unit. Flex rather than bend the mattress when going through doorways, and don't bend the corners when putting on fitted sheets. *Restriction does not apply to Sealy Posturepedic king-size mattresses, which are designed to bend at specific hinging points.

How and why do I rotate my bedding? How do I avoid body impressions in my mattress? How do I maintain consistent comfort and feel throughout the life of my bedding?
We recommend that you rotate your Sealy mattress on a regular basis to refresh its comfort. Mattresses contain many layers of upholstery padding to increase their comfort life and support performance. Body indentations can be a normal occurrence in new mattresses, and indicate that the upholstery layers are conforming to a person's individual body contours. To help minimize body impressions, mattresses should be turned occasionally throughout their life. For convenience, we have illustrated below the best method.

How do I care for my mattress?
Keep your Sealy mattress clean. We suggest using a mattress pad; please visit www.sealybedding.com for more information on mattress pads. Don't allow your mattress to get wet. Protect it from water or other liquids. Don't use dry cleaning fluid of any type on your mattress. These chemicals could damage some of the comfort and upholstery materials.

How do I clean my mattress?
Keeping your Sealy bedding clean is simple with the use of a protective mattress pad. Vacuuming is the only recommended cleaning method. If you must clean a stain, use mild soap with cold water and apply lightly! Don't ever soak a mattress or foundation, and don't use dry cleaning fluid of any type on your mattress—these chemicals could damage some of the comfort and upholstery materials.

What's the difference between latex and memory foam?
Latex differs from memory foam in its elastic, open-cell structure that recovers from pressure immediately. Memory foam has a slower recovery time. Latex is a very supportive yet conforming material.

    Does latex sleep "hot"?
No. Latex doesn't sleep hot, because its open-cell structure allows it to breathe.

    Can latex cause allergic reactions?
Because our latex is derived from a synthetic petroleum base versus natural latex, which uses rubber tree sap, we avoid the impurities and proteins that cause allergic reactions to latex.
